Sasha L. Monthei is a shareholder attorney of Smith, Mills & Schrock Law working primarily in the areas of workers’ compensation, transportation law, employment law and insurance defense. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 2001 and her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004. She graduated from law school with highest distinction and was Order of the Coif, a recognition awarded to the top 10 percent of each graduating class.
Prior to joining the firm, Sasha handled trucking litigation cases in multiple states and also assisted trucking companies with regulatory and contractual matters. In addition to her significant trucking experience, Sasha also handled cases involving railroad liability, FELA, general insurance defense and many appeals filed with the Iowa Supreme Court.
Sasha is a member of the Iowa Motor Truck Association, the Defense Research Institute, Trucking Law Committee, the Transportation Lawyers Association, as well as local and state bar associations.
Sasha is licensed to practice law in Iowa, and is specifically licensed in the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts, and the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals.
